IMPORTANT:You will be warned to take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor. It is for your use only. Do not take it with other medicines containing esomeprazole. You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to esomeprazole, esomeprazole acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Do not use it if you have a previous history of hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to esomeprazole, esomeprazole acid or any other ingredient in this medicine (listed in section 6). Before using this medicine tell your doctor about any medical conditions of your heart, kidney, liver, stomach or intestines, lungs and other organ. Your doctor will decide if you should use esomeprazole if you have or have had a hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Do not use this medicine if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed. You must not breastfeed while you are taking this medicine. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, tell your doctor immediately. It is better to avoid alcohol while taking this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines for heart conditions or you are also taking other medicines regularly. Your doctor will decide whether to change your dose or prescribe you to take this medicine.

Do not use this medicine if you are taking medicines called digoxin (Lanoxin), used to treat heart rhythm problems. This medicine may increase the chance of a heart attack. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: amiodarone (Cordarone, Pacerone), calcium channel blockers such as amlodipine (Norvasc), felodipine, rilpivirine (Flibanserin), lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril), or voriconazole (Vfend). The dosing of this medicine may need to be changed. Do not change the dose of this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Store this medicine at room temperature, in a tightly closed container. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date. NEXIUM 24HCI contains a medicine called esomeprazole magnesium. It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat acid reflux, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. Esomeprazole magnesium works by decreasing the amount of acid that your stomach produces. This reduces the symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and other stomach problems. Esomeprazole magnesium may also help with the healing of ulcers caused by excess stomach acid.
Do not take NEXIUM 24HCI if you have ever had an allergic reaction to esomeprazole magnesium or any of the ingredients in NEXIUM 24HCI. An allergic reaction to NEXIUM 24HCI is to be suspected. An allergic reaction to esomeprazole magnesium or any of the ingredients in NEXIUM 24HCI is to be treated with an esomeprazole magnesium cream or solution and can be a sign of a serious allergic reaction. If you suspect you have an allergic reaction to NEXIUM 24HCI, stop taking NEXIUM 24HCI and call your doctor right away or seek medical attention right away.
